Spring Inspirations For Your Customers

Spring seems to happen overnight in New England. We get days of cold, windy weather, then all of a sudden we see buds on the trees and a few warm days allow them to come into full bloom.

By mid-April we're ready for sunny days and getting outdoors. Your customers are ready too. So why not tease them with some spring inspirations you create.

Social media presence is so important these days, with more and more consumers buying on-line and sourcing ideas through Pinterest and Instagram. It's easy to do simple videos through your smart phone and post them to all your accounts. You can provide inspiration for your customers and keep your name out front with them - so they'll think of you for their next floral purchase.

With the Spring holidays upon us, here are some ideas for content on your social feeds:

  • Force branches and bulbs – show a progression through photographs.

  • Make a plant basket or outdoor container for Spring - you can use 4" pots of mini daffodils, grape hyacinths and dwarf tulips, along with green ivies and ferns to create something special.

  • Turn any type of vessel into a floral centerpiece - you can recycle, repaint and repurpose something in your shop and turn it into a stunning design.

  • Show how to decorate a home with flowers – use before and after photos, emphasizing the benefits of having flowers in the house. Even small sprigs of flowers bring Spring inside.

  • Show how to make a centerpiece with spring branches and flowers.

  • Give some early gardening tips and show which flowers are in season through a progression of photos or videos.
